The Ministry of Health & Wellness, alongside the government of The Bahamas, officially broke ground on the Palmetto Point Advanced Health Centre. This momentous occasion marks a significant step in advancing healthcare services for residents of Palmetto Point and surrounding communities.
The Hon. Dr. Michael Darville, Minister of Health & Wellness, joined Prime Minister Philip Davis and The Hon. Clay Sweeting, Minister of Works and Family Island Affairs, to celebrate this milestone.
The 14,500-square-foot facility will feature a modern surgical suite, recovery wards, emergency services, and additional resources designed with sustainability and accessibility in mind. Once completed, the centre will provide critical healthcare services closer to home, significantly improving the quality of care in the region.
With an expected completion timeline of 15 months, the Palmetto Point Advanced Health Centre reflects the government’s continued commitment to delivering equitable healthcare across The Bahamas.
