This initiative brought critical health services directly to the community, reinforcing our commitment to building a healthier Bahamas.
The 14,500-square-foot facility will feature a modern surgical suite, recovery wards, emergency services, and additional resources designed with sustainability and accessibility in mind. Once completed, the centre will provide critical healthcare services closer to home, significantly improving the quality of care in the region.
Following the workshop, the launch of the Health National Adaptation Plan (HNAP) marked a pivotal step in safeguarding public health against the impacts of climate change. The HNAP focuses on building resilience in health systems, reducing vulnerability, and integrating climate adaptation into national health strategies.
The government of The Bahamas has officially broken ground on the Mangrove Cay Clinic, a project that signifies a major leap forward for healthcare services in Mangrove Cay and nearby communities. This much-anticipated initiative will bring modern, state-of-the-art medical facilities to the region, enhancing access to quality healthcare for residents.
